What if you had the chance to reinvent your frame in life. Like rewriting your values, reintroducing your story. Your own story, like -> identity.
Not so long ago, I unconsciously felt like hitting a red light.
It was an old ghost that had been following me since I got busy parenting, and society somehow demanded that the month of December should be a month of constant fun (read: a lot of activities). Making this month almost unbearable for parents.
I know better now how to sail around those demands. The boys are older, so personally it is no longer much of a problem.
This halt was professional.
I was surprised. I didn’t really understand the pause. It was basically a feeling of being “frozen” — no ideas, empty, numb.
I thought, *well, this is what writer’s block must feel like.*
At the time, I had been preparing a workshop about clarity in life and the year ahead, and the importance of taking a moment to look for your authentic vision.
And then my body literally took over and made the pause for me. Amazing, but true. My mind hadn’t quite understood yet why.
What had happened was basically this: I had got lost in the chaos.
Me, myself ....being a the coach. Great. The famous quilt of a coach.
I felt a strange internal shame about that. I had been listening too much to the shout-outs around me about how a coaching business was supposed to grow. More courses. More seminars. Really business like kind of energy. More ways to scale, because apparently there are not enough hours in the day to make a living otherwise.
So I went along and designed a course. Or two.
And ended up with my body saying: *Sorry, but this isn’t your path.*
So I stopped. Looking back, I think I had already found my lane. I just needed to trust it.
It is still a global one, and still very much about people and our relationship with the Earth.
But today it looks simpler.
I write. I create books and ideas that I hope can contribute something meaningful. And I coach a small number of younger professionals working in climate and sustainability. People carrying important work in a world that can feel noisy, urgent and demanding.
- No shout-outs. No need to become everything.
- Just a steady walk.
Creating space to reconnect with ourselves, finding ones true and only frame for the unque life of yours. With the Earth beneath all the noise.
To find some inner calm and clarity, and from there perhaps be able to contribute in a way that is sustainable for ourselves too.
So, again - BGlobal in Heart & Mind,
most of all, please - be kind.
Berglind.
