Contract of hope

December 07, 20191 min read

The year 2015 was truly significant for the globe.

How this frame was going to change our actions in life, nobody knew.

The Paris agreement was confirmed that same year, based upon the SDGs. I keep recalling the pictures from the celebration when attendees truly felt the joy of having closed a deal for the world.

Those tears in someone's eyes, jumps and happiness truly demonstrated hugh relief after hard international negotiations.

Perhaps, this group realized unconsciously the giant steps taken towards possible survival of Earth.

A contract of hope.

In the year of 2015 and well into 2016 there was massive pressure on the importance of reaching out the message of the SDGs.

To get public and private entities, as well the population to understand that the Global Goals were intended for all human beings. They were not going to mean anything without participation of us all.

I don´t think that anyone realised the effects of the new system, and I keep saying that because in only four years since 2015 the awareness raising on UN issues has exponentially grown.

Climate changes are now the topic of news everyday, discussed in all societies and enforcing people to change their mindset towards environmental cure.

A new chapter for the UN was certainly born in 2015, no just only the frame of the 17 Global Goals, but also in its mission to preserve peace.

It seems like the frame of 17 has been understood, and the urgency is seen by so many of the societies spectrum.

Every years since 2015 we see sincere actions towards the Goals in different forms of adaptation and implementation.

I notice the understanding of many that this framework has truly a chance to change our way of living towards a better future.
