How to tame the chaos
You just need to know for sure, and belief it, that you will survive the hustle. If you’re a sustainability pro drowning in emails, meetings, and endless to-do lists, you’re not alone.
Sometimes you are handling things like a superhero, and you know all the details, next steps to go and all goes well.
And, then - also sometimes you just need to have a coach who knows your circumstances and can jump in with a coaching session to guide you onwards.
Between juggling team calls, strategizing green initiatives, and somehow squeezing in marketing skills you never signed up for—yeah, it’s A LOT.
But don’t worry, we can work together. Here are few points that you can start implementing....
1. Meetings, are great! But make them impactful
All-hands meetings should be about clarity, ideas, and real collaboration—not just another status update.
If your team is struggling to get the sustainability message across to customers, structure meetings around key messaging points and impactful storytelling. Keep them tight, interactive, and always tied back to how your company is communicating its green mission.
2. Internal communication: Have your training inspirational
Your sustainability efforts are only as strong as your team’s ability to deliver them.
Employees need engaging, relevant training that helps them confidently advocate for sustainability both inside and outside the company. This is tricky, since not all of us can deliver such training. But we have a great sustainability community - reach out for help.
If you are driving the training yourself, break it down into bite-sized, flexible modules that connect their daily work to the bigger mission. Think interactive storytelling, real-world examples, and social proof to make the message stick—not just another forgettable slide deck.
3. Collaboration = Less burnout
Sustainability is a team sport.
Cross-team collaboration prevents duplicate work (and unnecessary stress). Sync your virtual training with leadership workshops, tailor content for different industries, and create experiential activities that actually make an impact.
Work smarter, not harder.
Streamline meetings, make training actually engaging, and collaborate like a boss.
Sustainability is chaotic—but with the right game plan, you’ll thrive.
Hope you have found those few points a bit helping out to tame the chaos. It demands a highly focused mind and determination, and I am sure you are doing just great when you think about those simple three points when establishing your agenda for the upcoming weeks ahead.
And don´t forget to enjoy the hustle, what an important work you are truly working.
