Snow Prayer

Snow Prayer

Like so many around the world, I have been experiencing sadness in relation to the war in the Middle East started a week ago. Deeply in sorrow for all involved, and I become speechless of the evolvement and actions by so many. But today my Earth gave me a sign and showed me a way that embraced the thinking and my sense for it all and it came out in a small poem called: Snow Prayer:

Snow Prayer

The wind lies still in silent rest
a heavy snowfall from the crest.
An endless dance of flakes fall down,
where sky and dearest Earth now bow.

Each fragile flake that drifts from above
carries sorrow, grief and love
a quiet tear for those at war
for broken homes and hearts.

The mountains rise in fluffy white,
growing deeper through the night.
Trees sway softly, bending with care,
and whispering cries within the air.

Our Earth beneath its silver fleece
seems to bow and softly whisper:
that from this silent, sacred release
the world may finally live in Peace.

Finally I only wish that people and countries my read with care one of the UN declarations of Peace, where is indicated so many times they were united with peace, wanting to save future generations from the experience they had. Yet, we face untold sorrow again to mankind.
